Emergency Contact
At all times, your well-being is our highest concern. Please take note of the following, in case an emergency situation should arise.
During business hours
Please contact the research co-ordinator, Nevetda Gengeswaran, at 416·535·8501 x39279 if you are experiencing worsening of your depression or anxiety, or if you are having persistent thoughts of your own death, or even just difficulties with keeping up with lessons, or problems with study appointments. She will return your call at the earliest moment.
Outside business hours
Unfortunately, while the study team will make every attempt to pick up and return messages in a timely manner, it is not possible for us to monitor phones or email 24/7.
If you need urgent assistance after regular business hours, please go to your local hospital emergency room, call the emergency hotline at 911 or a local distress hotline such as 416·408·4357, or talk to a family member or a trusted friend.
