What I learned |
Flee the situation when I’m feeling panicky. |
Stay? Hopefully I won’t pass out. |

I stayed on the subway when I started to feel panicky and focused on where we were. I started to count as a means of seeing how long it would take to get to each station. I realized though, once I got home, that I was using distraction, which we’re not supposed to be doing….man, this is hard stuff! |
Avoid elevators during times of higher traffic when I could have a panic attack. |
Take them regardless of the time of day. |

I did this one day after taking the subway and using distraction to cope. This time I tried to ride along with the anxiety. As I’ve been reading out, nothing bad happened – I didn’t pass out or freak out. |
