Identifying Your Avoidance Strategies

Try to think of the times when you felt depressed or anxious, and what you may have done to try to push those feelings away. Make a list – the form below can help with that. You may find that you tend to use one type of strategy – behavioural, cognitive or safety – more than the others, but that you use all of them at one time or another.
