In this section you learned about the value of emotions, their components (thoughts, physical sensations, behaviours), how to identify them, and how they can influence future behavior.

Your homework is to practice identifying the components of emotions in your everyday life. Try to complete one Emotion Monitoring Form a day to increase your awareness of what you experience in the moment. It can be helpful to complete one after you’ve experienced a strong emotion because the components might be more noticeable. Don’t worry if you find it difficult at first, they will get easier to do with practice.
